Alain Robert, plus connu sous les noms de "Spiderman français" ou de "l'homme araignée", a été arrêté mardi 20 Mars 2007 à Kuala Lumpur en Malaisie en escaladant les Petronas Twin Towers (les tours jumelles les plus hautes du monde).
Alain Robert a réussi à grimper jusqu'au 60e étage avant de se rendre à la police.
C'est la deuxième fois qu'il tente d'escalader les Tours Petronas, après une première tentative il y a dix ans, où il s'était déjà fait arrêter au même étage sur l'autre Tour.
"L'Homme Araignée" est un des meilleurs grimpeurs "solo" du monde et a escaladé plus de 70 gratte-ciel (Sears Tower à Chicago, Empire State Building à New-York, Taipei 101, Sinjuku Center Building à Tokyo, Canary Wharf Building à Londres, Tour Montparnasse, Tour Eiffel,.....)
Alain Robert, also known as "The French Spiderman" was arrested on Tuesday March 20th 2007 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, as he tried to climb the World's tallest twin towers, the Petronas Twin Towers.
Alain Robert reached the 60th floor before giving himself off to the police.
This is Robert's second attempt to climb the Petronas Towers; He was arrested exactly 10 years ago on the 60th floor on the other tower.
The French Spiderman is one of the best solo climbers in the world and a unique urban solo climber (over 70 skycrapers: The Sears Tower in Chicago, The Empire State Building in New-York, Taipei 101, Sinjuku Center Building in Tokyo, Canary Wharf Building in London, Montparnasse Tower and The Eiffel Tower in Paris,...).
